Last day in Asti

Fi and I awoke and friends of Julie arrived for day around pool and birthday celebrations.

Talked to them for awhile until they fired up bbq and we decided to explore a bit.

We drove to village we could see from Julie's where a huge spire is.

The church at Antignano

From the church the spire is hidden but we walked around to get somewhat of a view.

It was siesta time so nothing open. Unfazed we took off for further sight seeing. Came across a small Forrest where they have a lot of owl boxes in trees trying to bring them back.

The Italians have a sense of humour

Back towards San Martino we stopped at a lookout and watched a great thunderstorm build, before heading back to house before it dumped.

Made it back for birthday cake and company. The crew left about 5.00 and we relaxed. Fi made up a great pasta which we washed down with more local wine before retiring early for 5.00 wake up to get back to Milan and then London.

Back in Deptford now, with only 2 more nights before heading back to Gold Coast.
