Haywards Heath visit

Fi and I awoke to a dreary day, but had much needed catch up sleep. Did washing and administration booking a few things for next couple of weeks.

Our time is running away and having to squeeze in catch ups with as many people as possible.

We left in early afternoon to make our way to Haywards Heath to see Stephanie, Joe, and their son Lucas. This is about 20 minutes north of Brighton.

Weather had improved and upon disembarking train after the hour trip we arrived in the picturesque village.

Stephanie picked us up and took us to their place in Newick to see their house as they had moved from Brighton since our last time in UK.

Caught up with Joe, Lucas, and the dog for an hour before heading to Lindfield for dinner. Another cute town with history.

The 5 of us had early dinner at a great Thai restaurant and looked at town. Next door to restaurant was a violin makers which has been operated by same family since 1699!

Hard to see through glass but the Voigts are still there!

Nice catch up and they dropped us back to station for the return to London. We got back to Deptford around 10.30, and with Leann safely tucked up we followed suit.

Will see what day brings.
