Paris arrival

After getting back from Sian's place Fi and I started preparing for our French odyssey.

Up yesterday we made our way to St Pancras station and Eurostar. A quick run to Dover, followed by swim leg to Callais, saw us cycling madly to Paris. Our legs were moving fast as we reached over 290 kph.

Did get to 327 at one point!

The 3 1/2 hours travel brought us to Gard de Nord and we walked from there like pack mules to our digs at Hotel Brady on Boulevard de Strasbourg.

Some of our party was there (Brendan the birthday boy 66 and Debbie) so we saw them and at 6.00 caught a cab with them to our dinner venue. Traffic was intense and drivers more so.

Arrived in plenty of time so sat at cafe and indulged ourselves in bottle of Rose.
Gotta love the streets of Paris

We then moved on to our restaurant for dinner where we caught up with 8 more people and the dozen of us dined Al fresco on the pavement.

The Lorette

Sunset came and went and so after dinner all were fairly tired and headed in 3 directions. Up today to wander the streets of Paris.

Tough life but will persevere.
