Ooo la la

After Fi surfaced we took to the road and made our way to Reims for a tour. This was just an hour and we found out a lot of history especially about WW1.

After the war only 50 houses were habitable from 14,000! Reims was completely rebuilt.

We went past what seemed like an endless supply of names. Tattinger, Mumm, Veuve, and Pommery. Fi was almost salivating by this time! In any case it was a good little tour and then we made our way back to Cormicy.

This was our big night with caterers indoors and Ooo La La themed. At 6.00 we gathered outside for champagne and canapes.

The ladies all in themed outfits

Merriment was infectious and we were still laughing when summoned to the dining room.

The chef was magnifique and we had escargot entrees, then chicken and veal served with fresh and sumptuous vegetables. Dessert was provided and we were very happy.

Van Gogh and his Paris beggar

After the caterers departed the night played out and I cannot even begin to say when it all finished up.

A tribe of them are on champagne bus tour today and the few of us left are tidying up ready for midday state of origin!
