Fulham and Coronation
We were up early yesterday for Coronation hence the post delay. Will fill in the gaps now.
Fi and left Deptford for Fulham where we are staying for a few days with Scott. Normal bus and trains got us here in about an hour. Dropped our bags and walked a short way to Parsons Green.
Past a few interesting buildings and onto the Duke on the Green pub which as name implies looks out over the Green.
Able to get a late lunch and Leah joined us. A couple of relaxing drinks before Scott, Fi and I went on to the shops to get needs for the following days events.
Duke on the GreenLoaded up we returned to Scott's to prepare. Our role was salads so Fi prepped a pumpkin and a potato salad. Not to late as we had to leave by 9.00 am next day.
4 of us loaded in car our master uber driver Scott dodged road closures to get us over to Ritchards place in South Woodford.
Leann met us there and a couple of Ritchards friends Joanne and Kaz made for a nice day of company although weather was bad.
Watched the Coronation and processions between bbq plates and was very enjoyable.
We (well I) got into the swing of things to Fi's chagrin.
Finished off with special Coronation cup cakes.
Needless to say a few bottles were passed around in celebration. All went well until our sober driver moved us on around 9.30 pm. Drive home took an hour and then it was off to much needed rest!
Up today to see what it brings.
