A day at the Museum and other happenings

With Leann working from home Fi and I got out of the way. Travelling back to South Kensington we had decided to visit Victoria and Albert museum.

Victoria and Albert museum

Nice day to be out and we started to look around. Lots to see and I was particularly taken with the sculptures.

Bust of Oliver Cromwell

Far too many to show and we also looked at the Chinese exhibition where you could touch Ming Dynasty pottery. The age of some of the exhibits in this area are mind boggling. Pottery in pristine condition dating back to pre AD times.

We separated so Fi could check fashion and I continued on sculptures.

Cupid and Hymen

This statue represents the winged god of love Cupid blowing on the torch of Hymen, god of marriage, to reignite love.

We only scratched the surface and could spend days there.

Continued our wanders in area past the college of psychic studies.

Lovely area around and we made our way to Harrod's to see this homage to therapeutic shopping. Did not feel the need to buy and the hoite culture and food was amazing.

Continuing on bought some tucker for dinner then made our way back towards home via Dog and Bell where we got all clear from Leann she had finished for day.

Home for Fi to cook lovely chicken stir fry dish, then off for another early night.

Will be out later today heading to Paddington.
