Mount vineyard and wine tasting
After an easy start to day we were off for a drive in Kent countryside. Narrow roads through fields at times and lovely scenery.
Made our way to Shoreham where we had a 2.30 wine and cheese tasting. Lovely vineyard and surrounds with a back story which you are best looking at themountvineyard.co.uk.
We were ushered upstairs for a taste of 4 wines. A sparkling rose, a white, a still rose and a Pinot noir. All were reasonable though not spectacular. The cheeses were great and we bought some of the charcoal cheddar.
Cheeses devoured we headed back to Eccles where Megan's brother and partner joined us for a BBQ.
Nice banter and fun although I was first casualty. Not sure when the rest went to bed, and have not surfaced as I write this post. Its only 8.00am so no problem.
Train back to London today for another celebration of Leann. A bigger gathering at pub in Waterloo.
Until next time
